Going downtown. I woke up early, because I really need to see the Charging Bull. They said, it will give you a financial luck when you rub the Bull’s balls. Hey, there’s no harm in trying ?

After that, I went straight to Brooklyn Bridge.
It is a long walk, from the subway station. But it will be worth it once you reach it.

You can also reach the Dumbo Brooklyn and Deborah Kass’s ‘OY/YO’ art on the left side of Brooklyn Bridge. (But I think the ‘OY/YO’ moved to another location)

After the Brooklyn Bridge, I went to Staten Island Ferry, to have a free ride to see the Liberty. But it will not be that close.

I need some rest and food, but before that, to The High Line first.
I didn’t stay long, maybe because I’m tired ?

Now I really need some food.
I look for Joe’s pizza, cause I’m really craving for pizza ?
Cheese pizza, cost $2.75. There’s also $1 pizza just right in the corner ?

This is really good! New York Pizza it is ?
The place is small, so just find your place (even in the garden across the store) to enjoy your pizza ?.

I still have time before I go to the Top of the Rock observation Deck, so I went to The MET.

There’s a suggested price for entrance fee, but any donation amount will do ?
I only have 40mins to look around ,?LOL

My time for the Top of the Rock is at 7:00 pm – 7:15 pm. I bought the ticket online, as I think there will be a long line for this one. I was there at 6:00 pm, and I think, they don’t follow the time on your ticket though, cause they allow me to fall in line, even though I’m for 7:00 pm ? The ticket cost $32.

Once you’re in observation deck, find a good spot to take a picture ?

Again, I’m so tired of walking, and my feet are sore ?, LOL.
Time to go back to my hostel.

  1. Beautiful! My girlfriend and I are looking for an interesting place to travel this summer and this might actually make the list. Sending to her now to see what she thinks 🙂

  2. I love reading and seeing travel post and photos from your blog! I’ve been in New York City long time ago. I would love to visit again maybe same as you solo backpacking 🙂 Even though long walk and sore feet, yummy slice of New York pizza will make my day! 🙂

  3. That seems like a very busy visit! I’ve never been to that side of the States. Looks like I have somewhere else to add to my ‘to-be-explored’ list.

  4. Did you book a tour or plan the itinerary yourself? I would love to visit New York someday and it seems like you came at a lovely season. It didn’t seem to be too cold.

  5. You were lucky with such beautiful weather. Your images of the Brooklyn Bridge are stunning! And that is definitely what a slice of true New York pizza on a paper plate looks like. Can almost smell it just looking at the photo. Thanks for sharing memories of your trip.

  7. I would love to visit New York one day! You look like you had an amazing itinerary. Such an interesting post! I’m not sure I’m brave enough to travel alone though! Thanks for sharing

  8. Wow, such great photos. I’ve never really thought of travelling anywhere on my own. It’s always in my head “where can I go with my wife and kids”
Takes some guts to backpack on your own too. You’re a braver person than me!

  9. Oh the nostalgic feels! Takes me back when I lived there while doing my internship and it was seriously so fantastic. I use to always make sure to see the sights, whether it was a scroll in central park or walk the brooklyn bridge.

  10. Looks like you had such an awesome time in NY. I know I plan on going back there some time with my daughter but haven’t done so yet. I know my girlfriend is going. I will have to pass this on to her.
