Solo Backpacking in New York City III

This is my last day in New York City. I woke up early, just to take a picture of LOVE sign. Unfortunately I didn’t find the HOPE sign.

Then went to Central Park, I know for a fact that I won’t be able to see much in Central Park, because 2 days is not enough for this. ?

Maybe next time ?

I almost forgot, there’s an art in 14th St subway ?

I went to Time’s Square. Well, I wanted to take a picture of the bleachers ?.
And I didn’t try to watch a Broadway show, I’m not that eager to watch it anyway ?

So, I just walk around Time’s Square before going to New Jersey.

I want to rest too ?

I was ready to leave the hostel to New Jersey. When my uncle offer to pick me up in my hostel, save me time ?

After that, they treat me to go to the Liberty ?.
At Liberty State Park, where we bought our tickets. We paid $18 per adult. Ride the ferry that will take you to Ellis Island and to the Liberty.

There’s a schedule for the ferry, same as the Staten Island Ferry. If you didn’t make it on time, you’ll just need to wait for the next one, no biggie ?

I’m not sure if the cost of the ferry from New Jersey City is cheaper than in New York City.

The next day is my flight to Toronto. Time to go back to the hostel..
See you again, New York City ?

  1. I would LOVE to visit New York! I’m not brave enough to go solo on my travels, but now I’m getting married in a couple of months I’ll have to get my hubby to join me on my travels. NYC looks like such an amazing place! Thanks for sharing!

  2. It’s been so long that I haven’t been to New York – your post brings back many lovely memories. I also love Robert Indiana’s art, but also do know only the love-sculpture in New York, didn’t know that there is also a hope one.
I think that especially travelling the US solo is a piece of cake; whereby I’m going everywhere by myself (hence my blog’s title).

  3. Wow! So many great pictures! You really made New York look even better than I thought. I usually see the dirty parts on TV. Clearly, I’ve never gone. It’s on my bucket list though.

  4. NYC is such a wonderful city that has been on my list. We couldnt visit NYC when we were in the USA a few years back. Looks like you had a great time in the city, with all those wonderful photographs.

  5. I’ve had the privilege of visiting New York City a couple of times and it is a magical place! Looks like you were able to see some of the amazing street art! So much fun!

  6. NYC, the one and only! I like the fact that this is very much a photo essay. It’s such an interesting city from a photographer’s perspective!

  7. I’m glad you loved New York City! Its one of my favorites. Unfortunately been too long since I’ve been there so I guess I’ll just have to go visit. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂
