Iseltwald – Crash Landing On You piano setting

If you’ve watch the Crash Landing On You in Netflix, you probably know the popular setting in Switzerland. And one of them is the Iseltwald. Where Captain Ri played the piano song for his brother. The lake is called the Lake Brienz. After the series, this place have been popular to the tourist. So how do you get there?

If you are in Switzerland, the Switzerland Travel Pass is you best bet for transportation. Especially if you are gonna stay more than 3 days. From Zurich airport take a train going to Interlaken. For about to 2hours ride. And then take bus 103 for 30mins.

Another way of transportation if through boat, which is also included in the swiss travel pass. We didn’t try this one, since it’s a long wait, but it will be a good experience to see the Lake Brienz.

We stayed in Iseltwald, just 4min walk to the jetty. Which is good so we can see sunset and sunrise. Since the bus will start around 7:30am and last trip will be 8pm.

Not sure when it started, but there’s a turnstile and you will have to pay for 5CHF to enter. At least no photobomber and you can take your time. But a tourist who was staying at one of the hotel nearby, gave us a token that we can use. It was given by the hotel to them.

We took our time since the 1st bus going to Interlaken station is around 8am. We bought some bread from a store nearby, I just can’t resist the smell of the newly baked bread.

You can walk around the village before going back to Interlaken. The bus as expected was full again and we have our luggages this time. Again we can’t afford to wait for another 30-40mins for the bus, so we tried to get in. When we arrived at Interlaken station, we looked for the lockers that will fit our luggage. The luggage range from 5 euro to 15 euro . It depends how what size of the locker you will choose. And now off to Lauterbrunnen..
