How to spend 2 days in Berlin, Germany

2-3 days is like right amount to spend time in Berlin. But we chose 2 days to explore the city. With just 2 days in Berlin, here are some things you can do and visit while in the city.

After we arrived in Berlin, we looked for the transportation ticket. We also asked the Information, just to be sure. We bought the 24-hr ticket. They have different tickets based on days. You can look at their site.
Once you validate the ticket you’re good to go. Validating is like a stamp and the machine can be found in the station or inside the bus to.

We went to our hostel, to drop our luggage. We chose St Christopher’s Berlin Alexanderplatz, since it’s close to the subway.

And then we start to tour the city by subway and bus. We went to Reichstag Building first, but we didn’t know that you need to register first and reserve a time slot before you can visit it. Good thing is it’s free, but that day it’s full, so we reserved our slot the next day for the afternoon time. You just need a passport and that’s it. The center is just across the Reichstag Building, maybe a few steps.

Then off we go to Brandenburg Gate, there was a construction, so there’s some barricade in front of it. Kinda hard to take a picture of the whole monument.

Next we walked to Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. They are pretty close to each other.

And last for the day is the Berlin Cathedral. We went and bought ticket to go up to the dome to see the city. And took a picture of the some architectures around the area.

After that, we look for some dinner to try their sausage. Which is really good, we had so much that we had left over and ate it the next day.

Then time to rest, since we want to leave early for Potsdam City the next day, to the the Sanssouci Palace.

The next morning, we left early to go to Potsdam City. I think it’s like 45mins travel time to Potsdam city from Alexanderplatz. We just bought our breakfast from the station. Actually it’s pretty good and cheap too for a quick snack.

When we arrived at the Potsdam station, we need to ride a bus to Sansoucci Palace. Of course we just rely with Google Maps.

Once we were in the Sansoucci Palace, we didn’t purchase a ticket to tour the inside of the Palace. TO be honest, I just want to take a picture of the palace. They said, if were just gonna see the outside, it’s free to roam around the area.

We didn’t really visit all the palace while we were there. I just really want to see the Sanssouci Palace and that’s it. It’s pretty big place.

After that we left for our schedule to tour Reichstag Building. There’s a long line and waiting time but it was a pretty quick tour and pretty awesome too.

Once we were done, we went to Volkswagen tour the museum and bought some cars.

We didn’t go inside of the Berlin TV Tower. Just took a picture of it from the outside.

We shop for some souvenir, and went to the Berlin Wall Memorial before going back to the hostel to rest and prepare for Switzerland the next day.
