Wandering Seoul in 4 Days: Nami Island & Petite France

Day trip in Nami Island and Petite France

Day trip in Nami Island and Petite France

There are so many ways to go to Nami Island, you can avail tour packages, take a bus or take the subway. We chose the subway.

You can go to this link for the directions

We tried to leave our guesthouse at 8:00 am in the morning, well, I said we tried, LOL. We’re in Myeong-dong subway at 8:4 0am and we arrived in Gapyeong station at exactly, 10:45 am, wow, so we slept on our way to Gapyeong Station 😊

At Gapyeong station, we ask for the schedule/brochure of the tour bus at Tourist information. I’ve read the bus arrive on time. And it’s true, so you better follow the schedule or you’ll end up waiting for another hour for the next bus 😊

At 11:10am, we pay the ticket for β‚©6,000 each to the driver. Note that you need to keep the ticket if your planning to go around. Just present the ticket to the driver when boarding the bus 😊

So luck was not into us, because it started to rain, well mist. 😑
Lesson learned, always check the weather. As for us, we didn’t bring our umbrellas, good thing, we have our bubble jacket, but still, Hehe.

After 10 minutes, we arrived at the bus station of Nami. You need to walk for about 5 minutes, (we just follow them 😊) to board to the sea craft, but you need to pay for the Entry Visa first, β‚©8,000 each for foreigner, we just presented our passports, just in case 😊

OK, so even its raining, there’s still a lot of tourists.
It will take, 5 minutes or less to Nami Island 😊

So here we are, strolling and taking pictures πŸ˜›

Of Course, we need to refuel, and it’s already past 1:00pm. We look for something to eat before we resume walking around πŸ˜‹

After an hour or so, we need to head to the bus station heading to Petite France, well we weren’t able to catch the 2:20 pm ride, because we’re still in Nami, so we decided to leave for 3:20 pm bus (I know it’s too late, and we don’t know if we will be able to see the morning calm at this weather 😑

So we wait…

After 40-50 minutes, we arrived at Petite France.
The ticket cost, β‚©8,000, but there’s a discount coupon for 25% or β‚©2,000 on this site. You just need to print and present this when paying your entrance fee.

Petite France is just small and you will be able to see it all in just 1 hour.

And then we head to our next destination.

The Morning Calm garden. Unfortunately, the driver told us that the last bus from Morning calm will be 6:00pm, instead of 7:30pm, and it’s already 5:30pm. So we weren’t able to see the garden, and just wait for the bus to go to Changpyeong Station.

From Changpyeong Station, we head to Myeong-dong, and decided to try another street food 😊 happy tummy πŸ˜‹

  1. WOW, I can’t get over how beautiful that bed of leaves is. I would really like to visit Seoul next year. It’s been on my bucket list for a while now. On a scale of 1 – 10, how bad is it that I want to visit mainly for the delish food?

  2. I never would have thought any of this existed in Seoul! I always assumed it was just another large metropolitan city like NYC. Definitely makes me want to plan a trip to S. Korea and explore.

  3. Wow, what an amazing day! Even though it rained a little the place still looked like it was amazing. Petit France looks so cute! Do people actually live there or is it more like a museum?

  4. All that food just looks extra yummy!!! πŸ™‚ I love Korean food – You got some nice shots – I like the one with the leaves on the ground and Petite France looks so cute!
