Our Getaway: 14-Days in Canada – Things to do in Toronto

From Quebec, we will tour Toronto for 1 week. There were rest days in between .

We went first to downtown Toronto. We just used the public transportation in Toronto. You can choose between Day, Weekly or Monthly pass. Or Buy tokens for single ride that cost CA$3.50. Tou can also used Presto card.

How to go to Harbourfront Centre
From Union station, ride the streetcar #509 or #510 and alight at Queens Quay w at Harbourfront Centre.

How to go to Gooderham Building
From Union Station, go to Southbound trains and alight at King station, again follow the google for walking directions, haha, it will be about 5mins from King station.

How to go to St. Lawrence Market
The Market is just a walking distance from the Flat Iron Building.

From Blook-Yonge Station, ride the Southbound train and get off at Queen Station.

How to go to Simcoe Wave Deck
From Union station, ride the street car #509, then alight in Queens Quay w at Harbourfront Centre, simcoe is 3-minute walk from here.

How to go to Canoe Landing Park
From Simcoe Wave Deck, ride the street car #510, another 2 stops, then alight at Spadina Ave at Bremner Blvd North, and walk to Canoe Landing Park for about 5 minutes

How to go to Graffiti Alley
From Union station, go to Northbound subway trains, and alight at Osgoode station, 2 stops from union station, then ride the streecar #501 West – 501 Queen Towards Humber. Alight at after 4 stops (Spadina Ave at Queen St West South Side), then walk for about 3 minutes…you will see a lot of Graffiti walls.

How to go to Casa Loma
Take the Westbound train and get off at Spadina station. Ride the bus #127 and get off at Davenport Rd at Walmer Rd.

It’s a museum, with a castle like exterior. Sometimes, there are some events that being held inside Casa Loma. Entrance fee is C$27 (including HST).

They will give you a device, where you can hear the story in each venue just by pressing the number in it ?

How to get to Medieval Times
Take the Westbound train and get off at Dufferin station. Ride the bus #29A and get off at Dufferin Gate Loop.

The Medieval Times. Entrance fee is C$65, we just got a discounted ticket for C$35. You will experience a dinner in a medieval way while watching a show. It will last for about 1.5 hours.

How to go to Ripley’s Aquarium
Take the Southbound train and get off at Union station. Walk about 8 minutes to Ripley’s Aquarium.

Ripley’s Aquarium. It is in downtown, at the foot of CN Tower. It will be same as for most of the Aquarium site. Entrance fee is $30, and again, we got a discount that cost, $18 for a Timed viewing.

Toronto Island
The ticket booth is just a walking distance from Harbourfront Centre. We pay for CA$10 for roundtrip ticket from Harbourfront Centre to Toronto Island.

There were 3 locations that you can choose from, we chose the Centre Island, I’m not really sure what’s the difference of the 3 locations, if I just need to take a picture of the Toronto Skyline For fares and schedules go here

How to get to Royal Ontario Museum
Take the Westbound train and get off at Bay station.

How to go to Distillery District
Take the Southbound train and get off at King Station. Ride the tram #504 going to Broadview station and get off at King St East at Trinity St. Walk 6 minutes to Distillery District.

Take the Westbound train and get off at High Park Station. The Park is just two minute walk from the station.
