Hey there! I'm Laurence, I'm a programmer and the voice behind "thethriftescape". I guess you're here to know a bit about me, huh? I'm not good at talking about myself, but will give it a try. Aside from chocolates/sweets I love travelling. If you've read some of my blog, I always have it or buy some chocolates when I travel. I started travelling when I had my first solo backpacking trip. From there on, I started making my travel blog. But not really promoting it. And just share it to few people who wanted to travel or do solo backpacking too. Now, I have my own blog that I can share it with everyone! I like travelling, but don't want to spend too much (yup! thrifty traveller here :P) So when I go for a trip, I always make sure to do it on a budget, as much as possible. And to attain this, I search a lot. I know, there are some people like me, who wants to travel the world on a budget. Or just looking for some itineraries for a certain city/country. So to pay it forward, I share my blog about my travel experiences with itineraries, tips and budgets. Let’s connect! and Tavel More! Say hello to me at [email protected]

Cebu Feb. 13-14, 2011 We already bought our tickets to Cebu online through Weesam. Our hotel/hostel is really nice, compare to the room 1st room we had, when we arrived in Cebu from Manila. We just rest for a bit, and ate the popular Larsian. Where you need to eat using your hand. They will […]

We wake up at 6:30 am, but we left around 8:00 am. The accommodation is a bit far from MRT, we thought that it will take like 5-8 minutes walk, but no, wah! This is exercise at it’s finest. Apparently, people are accustomed to walking (fast) here. Ok, we made it to the MRT, we […]

We didn’t plan to go to Singapore, but because there’s a promo flight in Airphil, so we just grabbed the opportunity ? And since this will be our first international flight, we need to do more research. First, the tourist spots, accommodation, and passports. We found a cheap transient in Tampines, which is far in […]

We were contemplating if we will do these overnight or just day trip. I drafted two itineraries and consulted my friends. So from that, we decided to do it as a day trip. Time for more research. I search for the common names/guide for this trip.

DAY 2 – SaturdayI showered last night (’cause I’m not sure if I can tolerate the temperature of the water?), and left 5:00 am. Good thing there’s always hot coffee in the common area of the hostel. 4 in the group were not able to get up because of body ache. But we still went […]

For the cave, we will need a van. ‘Cause we’re running out of time, and we must be able to enter the cave before 5:00 pm. We wanted to experience riding at the top of the van. They said it’s OK ? On the way to the cave, there’s one more hanging coffin called Sugong […]
